Why Scholar-Do?

Don’t think I don’t know what you may be thinking. I am a Scholar-Do Master. I sense much doubt in you. And as much as the Dork Side of the Force clouds everything, i know that the light shall prevail.

For this Project, we were asked a simple question. “What do you expect from the PSHS Scholar in the future?”

In response, we, the team of daryll panaligan, janus sapasap, jiggs lansangan, migs murillo, joachim suico and pj tolentino, have put together a site of a science-based Martial Art.

So the obvious question still remains. Why Scholar-Do? What the hell does it have to do with the friggin topic?

Let’s do away with the prejudice that we’re smart. Do away with the glasses, the sci cals, the braces, the books, the laptops, the C++ programs, the lab gowns, the protractors and rulers and of course, the thought that we’re … not human.

The thing is, we are. And with that comes limitations. And my friends, here in Scholar-Do, we aim to strive to push that limitation. To reach beyond the sky. To achieve a better way of life from the most practical means of science and technology.

Scholar-Do, as much as it is a practical Martial Art and laugh, beyond that is a metaphor. An idea. That we, the Scholars, in the future, will use our abilities and lessons learned here and now to further hone the blade that is this country.

With the calculating speed of a Tornado kick, we can make buildings. At the basic logic of that of an X-Block, we can solve problems. And in the principles of a Scholar, we can make a difference.

Here lies the answer to the question.

This is what this was all about.

For this is the Way.
